What are your charges?
3 person ceilidh band – £250 (£270 from 1st April 2017)
4 person ceilidh band – £300 (£320 from 1st April 2017)
Charity events – Free
These apply to the Edinburgh area only. If your event is outside the Edinburgh area we may have to charge travel expenses etc.
Are our charges flexible?
Unfortunately to keep things simple our charges are fixed. We cannot offer discounts and the prices are the same for shorter events.
What counts as a charity event?
Any event where 100% of the profits goes to a registered charity. Unfortunately we have to charge full price for split ceilidhs where some of the profits don’t go to charity.
After a charity ceilidh we like to know how much was raised on the night for our records.
Can you call the dances?
Yes! Someone in the band will be able to call the dances for you. There is no extra charge for this.
How long do we play for?
We will play for any length of time up to 3 hours.
What is a PA system?
The PA system (Public Address System) is the microphones, amplifiers and speakers which we use to amplify the band so every instrument can be heard. If you are providing the PA system please consult us on what equipment you will need.
Do I need a PA system?
Yes. Due to the makeup of our bands you will need to have a PA system for your event. You can hire one yourself (please ask for advice), some venues have their own one or you can hire one from us.
How much does PA hire cost?
We have our own system which we will normally hire to you for £40. Occasionally we will take on two events on the same day. In this case we may have to charge you £80 if you are the second event and we have to hire another PA system in. Please check with the band administrator (email@example.com)
How long do we need to set up?
It usually takes us about an hour to set up and soundcheck. This is normally done just before the event starts. Remember that our soundcheck will be noisy!
